CAM-II CMS Developer's
CMS Project, CAM-II CMSI'm looking to recruit some people to help get this project off the ground. If you would be interested in helping shoot me a message with the contact form to the right.
I've setup a developer's site on google and a temporary development environment on my home webserver (camii.lanctr.com/).
If anyone knows how to setup a subversion server on windows server 2003 please let me know. I'd like to get this setup to work the best with a team in mind.
More updates to come as they are available.
CAM-II CMS
CMS Project, CAM-II CMSThis is the official kick-off post for the CAM-II CMS project. The project home can be found at http://camiicms.riaforge.org.
CAM-II (ColdFusion, AJAX, Mach-II) CMS, as I mentioned in my previous posting, is my open source CMS project. As I begin building the foundation for the app I would like to share my ideas and solicite the community's. Before begining any big project I generally like to get all my ideas down on paper, or in a MindMap as the case may be. So to kick things off, here are the beginings of my ideas.

CAM-II CMS MindMap
Below is a breakdown of the above MindMap.
- Blog
- A full featured blog, complete with voting, comments and RSS
- Themes
- CMS will be completely themeable and will include a few themes bundled in the release
- Custom Page
- Will give the administrator(s) the ability to add pages at will. These will be static pages, editable by the administrator(s) and anyone with the correct rights
- Plugins / Modules (examples listed are in the MindMap)
- This will be the primary method of adding features and widgets to the CMS.
- Plugins / Modules will be created by the community and users alike
- A complete API and documentation will be published
- Powerful Admin Tool
- One thing that I have always found lacking in the majority of CMS applications is an intuitive, clean, and clear admin tool
- More about this will be discussed as the project progresses
Again, I would like to solicite any ideas that you might have for this project. If you would like to get involved and contribute please let me know via the contact form on this blog or the project home on riaforge.
