Sneak Peek at My Flex Chat App

Coldfusion, Flex

Here's a sneak peek screenshot of my Flex Chat app's dashboard interface.  I'm working on the last five items on my task list for the app.  We should be pushing it into private beta today!

Once I'm done with the proprietary Chat App for work I will be writing a public for-sale version of the app as well.  In case you haven't been following me on twitter or had the pleasure of hearing me talk about the app (yes it's a pleasure to hear me get so excited I start stuttering) here's a brief description.

Flex Chat facilitates 2 kinds of chat.

  1. Website visitors to chat users (external visitor)
  2. Chat users to chat users (internal)

The external visitor setup allows visitors to your website to communicate with backend users.  Useful for support or sales communications, among other things.

The internal setup allows users to communicate with website visitors via the backend dashboard as well as communicate with other internal users.

The whole thing is built in flex 3 and runs on a single CFC and uses LiveCycle Data Services to send messages in near real-time.

Assuming I don't have any objections, I plan to have the private beta available to show at the next CFUG meeting.  So if you are planning to be there and would like to see what I've been working on let me know!

Anywho, here's the screenshot.
